In this article, we will show you how to complete a Group Reservation on Connect&GO's POS.
What is a Reservation?
On Connect&GO's POS, you can reserve multiple products that can be paid for within a chosen date range. It can be paid for all at once, or in multiple deposits at different times with different payment methods.
PART 1: Prerequisites
- The client must have an account to make a reservation. If the client does not have an account, it can be created when making the reservation (PART 2: 3 & 4).
PART 2: How to process a Reservation
- On the POS's main section Products, choose the products the client would like to reserve. A reminder that some products require a date selection .
- As the products add up in the cart, you can choose to change the quantity if applicable. To do so, you just have to click on a product in the cart and a popup will appear. From there you can change the quantity or delete the product from the cart.
- Once all the products have been chosen, click Reserve.
- A popup will appear requiring you to search and choose an account or create a new account.
- Once chosen/created, the popup will remain open with other options: to Edit the account, to view the account Details and/or Detach the account from the order, especially if you chose the wrong one.
- Click Finish.
- Then, click Reserve again to choose reservation valid and expiry dates.
- Then click Save.
- The page will reload and you will be prompt to the deposit payment page.
- The client can choose to pay for everything, a portion of the transaction (deposit) or pay at another time altogether.
- Once a deposit has been made or the client has decided to wait to pay at a later time (within the reservation date range), click Complete Reservation.
- If the payment was completely paid for, a popup will appear to email the receipt to the client and the reservation code.
- If the payment was partially paid for or is waiting to be paid for at another time, the popup will still appear to email the receipt and the reservation code, but you will need to follow the next steps to complete the payment.
PART 3: How to complete a Reservation payment
- Go to the Reservations or Accounts sections on the POS.
- If you go to the Reservation section, search the client's reservation code in the search field and get to its main details.
- Once the page refreshes and you see all the reservation details, click Details, and then Confirm and Pay Reservation.
- If you go to the Accounts section, search the client's name in the search field and get to its main details.
- Once on their account details, click on the Reservation tab to view all their reservations.
- Then click the Details icon on the reservation the client would like to pay for.
- Once the page refreshes and you see all the reservation details, click Confirm and Pay Reservation.
- If you go to the Reservation section, search the client's reservation code in the search field and get to its main details.
- You will be prompt to a payment page.
- The client can choose to complete the reservation payment or put in a deposit.
- When making a deposit, choose the payment method and amount the client would like to deposit.
- Then, click Back at the bottom, left. This will save the deposit.
- If the client decides to pay for the whole reservation, click on the payment method(s) and amount(s), summing up to the total amount.
- Then click Charge XX.
- A popup will appear indicating that the transaction 'xxxxx' is complete, as well as two actions: Email or print the receipt.
- Click Finish.
PART 4: How to view Reservation transactions
- Once the reservation has been payed for, you will be able to search for the transaction under the Transactions or Accounts sections on the POS.
- If you go to the Transactions section, search the client's transaction code in the search field.
- If you go to the Accounts section, search the client's name in the search field.
- Once on the client's account details, click on the Transactions tab to view all the transactions.
- You can now proceed with the transaction like any other transaction, with actions that include sending a receipt, processing a refund and/or fulfilling/admitting the products
